Devleena Das
Graduate Research Associate
Graduate Program: Biomedical Engineering
About Me:
I am a Ph.D. candidate at Dr. Gallego-Perez’s Nanomedicine laboratory. Here, my research is focused on design and application of novel nanotechnologies including biomaterials and silicon-based (clean room manufactured) devices as gene reprogramming therapeutics for metabolic disorders such as Type 2 Diabetes.
Before joining The Nanomedicine laboratory, I spent a semester at University of Oxford, UK. I completed my masters training in Nanotechnology and Nanoscience at University of Glasgow, UK and my undergraduate degree has been in Electronics and Communications Engineering. I aspire for a career in academia and to develop translatable medical technologies with focus in micro- and nanotechnology-based wearable device fabrication and their utilization in solving real world problems for patients living with diseases such as cancer and metabolic disorders.
