Undergraduate Research Assistant
Major: Biomedical Engineering
Supervisor: Will Lawrence
Since joining the lab, I have been conducting research in two main projects: cell reprogramming of peripheral nerves via transcription factors delivered by tissue nanotransfection and studying the potential role of extracellular vesicles derived from peripheral organs and tissues in the progression of neurological disorders. My work on the former was presented at the 2022 Engineering in Healthcare: Industry and Research Symposium.
Following graduation, I wish to pursue a PhD in Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, with a desired specialization in tissue engineering for long-term blood substitutes.
